A one day
Orientation Workshop was held at PIPHRO office at 9-2-2012, Mr.
Muhammad Saleem Program Associate Environment & Climate Change unit,
UNDP Islamabad, Mr. Chatro Mal, (UNDP GEF SGP), Mr. Muhammad Memon
(UNDP GEF SGP) oriented all the partners on various aspects of
running projects including audit, bookkeeping and program related
issues at length and participants discussed various important issues
and asked related questions. All the UNDP SGP GEF partners attended

Pakistan
International Peace & Human Rights Organization (PIPHRO) which
established in 2001, is registered, independent, non-profit,
non-political, non-sectarian and non-governmental organization.
The organization came into being with strong determination,
commitment and dedication. The organization is registered with
Social Welfare Department with Registration No: (SW)CDD-(BDN)VA/03.
PIPHRO is a local,
multi-disciplinary, development oriented and non-profit making
organization. PIPHRO affirms to be committed to well being of masses through sound development in remote and impoverished pockets of Pakistan in general and
District Badin & Thatta in particular.
Over the last one decade
PIPHRO enjoys the history of being a civil society organization committed to the conservation, promotion and sustainable management of natural resources and has had been advocating the participatory management of natural resource as a mean to livelihood security. It worked with a spirit to serve humanity with out any discrimination on the basis of gender, caste and creed. While committed to the well being of masses
PIPHRO has the history of working with all segments of society even with little resources and expertise, thus becoming a role model at local level. So after its one decade history
PIPHRO felt it necessary to work as an institution with an extended and holistic philosophy of participatory development to help the deprived and marginalized segments of society to have an access to the basic means of livelihood together with improved social services at local level.
With the passage of time,
PIPHRO
has developed its capacity to meet and adapt the changing
environment in its surrounding and work with small and big donors
to facilitate the process of development and smooth delivery of
benefits to the communities at large. Staff capacities have also
been built through various technical trainings during the course
of the job.
PIPHRO
Programs
PIPHRO has
extensive experience of working for emergency response in many
times in history like Badin Cyclone, Kashmirr earthquake,
floods in many districts of Sindh etc. Like its previous
extensive experience to work in emergency response and relief,
PIPHRO also mobilized its all possible resources,
(MADADGAR) Helpline Project
has been initiated with the support of (Access to Justice
Development Fund) Law & Justice Commission of Pakistan
Islamabad for all the victims of Human Rights Violation in
District Badin Sindh.(Madadgar) Helpline center would be
established for all the victims of Human
Livelihood Restoration Program
for flood affected families in 8 villages of Union Council
Bhugra Memon, District Badin.
185 flood affected families of 8 villages of UC Bhugra Memon
will have 370 Desi Goats (2 for each family) and sufficient
nutrition in shape of milk for their livelihood support.
